A little background on us, in case you're new here,

 

Our business began back in 2009 by me (Tara), with a focus on photography, and remained that way for quite some time. But while I was off photographing concerts and in college at the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago learning all forms of design and honing my photography skills, Andrew (my now, better half) was working at a print and design shop while going to college also.

 

In early 2012, we met, fell in love and joined forces photographing and DJing weddings, while I was doing small design work and websites on the side and Andrew continued to do some small printing work. From there, it all continued to grow.

 

Over time, the focus, name, and even look of our business changed, and as that all shifted and our family grew, welcoming our daughter, Isabella in 2018, we decided to take less and less photography events and focus more on what we could do in-house which was design work and printing services. After welcoming our 2nd addition, our son Asher in 2024, we knew this move was the correct one, and now here we are!

 

Between us we have a Bachelor's Degree, an Associates Degree, 16+ combined years of experience in design work, and 20+ combined years of experience in printing!

 

We couldn’t be more appreciative of every client we have had from the very beginning to now, and every one we will have going forward. We look forward to continuing our journey with you!

Welcome to Moon Storm Creative!

 

After 10 years of Tara Ashlee Photography and

6 years of Tara Ashlee Photo & Design,

we finally agreed a re-branding was in order!

Pivoting our main focus away from photography and onto design work and printing services, we started to feel the original name no longer fitting who we were. It’s no secret that we are a very family oriented business, and our 2 beautiful babies are at the heart of all we do. So, with them as our inspiration, our new name, Moon Storm Creative was born!
